Tokujin Yoshioka was born in Japan in 1967 and studied at the Kuwasawa Design School, where he gained his degree in 1986. In 1992 he started working as a free-lance designer and eight years later he established his own studio in Tokyo. His career can be traced back to the works with Shiro Kuramata and Issey Miyake.
