The Arco floor lamp designed by Achille Castigliani for Flos is a design classic.
Its modern appearance despite being designed in 1962 is incomparably beautiful. The white Carrara marble base balances the curved stainless-steel arm perfectly to reach over a dining table or seating area.
The light source covered by a polished aluminium shade that provides downwards lighting as well as reflecting light upwards casting a pattern on the ceiling thanks to the unmistakable perforated diffuser.
The marble base weighs 60kg but can be moved due to the cleverly positioned holes to allow a broom handle to be passed through and lifted by two people.
The Arco floor lamp is a true icon of the 20th century, it’s a worthy investment piece that offers ambient lighting and a sculptural display within its surrounding.
